Support Worker - McKellar ACT
Monday and Wednesday AM and PM
Seeking people to support our client based in McKellar, ACT who is in his 60's, living with quadriplegia and has a significant speech impediment.
CPSN prides itself on finding support workers who are a perfect fit for the families we work with, so your ability to connect well with our client and his family is critical.
Experience supporting clients with spinal cord injuries and/or cerebral palsy is a distinct advantage. Must have good communication skills, with the ability to follow visual or non-verbal cues is essential. Experience in Bowel care preferred.
AM and PM shifts available Monday to Friday, to support our client with personal care, exercise routines at home, and also some community access. 1:1 and 2:1 shifts available.

Bowel care
Catheter care
Manual handling
One-person transfers (from and into: bed, shower chair, walking frame, wheelchair and parallel bars).
