Support Worker - SIL House - Taylors Lakes

AM shift 7am until 4pm. PM shift 4pm -10pm. Community access shifts minimum of 2 hours.

What does a SIL Support Worker do?

You will work in a team of 3 per shift to support our 3 clients living in our Supported Independant Living (SIL) home together. You will develop strong relationships with our clients, their families and other support workers in the home. You will ensure to uphold a person centered and active support approach to achieve goals and outcomes for our clients.

Some practical tasks and supports you will deliver include:

  • Support with personal care 

  • Administration of medication 

  • Complex health and support services 

  • Program support to achieve goals and development outcomes

  • Community access outings to swimming pool and shopping

  • Activities to keep our clients engaged and entertained

What you need to be considered for this opportunity

  • A minimum of 12 months experience supporting complex care, high intensity clients i.e. PEG feeding catheter care, bowel care, repositioning and hoisting.

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Current First Aid and CPR

  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module

  • 2 work related references for current/prior employers
