Casual Support Worker - SIL House - Taylors Lakes

AM and PM shifts with Active overnights after required training completed.

Join an established team at our Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Taylors Lakes.  Develop strong relationships with our clients, their families and other support workers in the home. 

You will uphold a person-centred and active support approach to achieve goals and outcomes for our clients.

AM and PM shifts to commence. Active overnight shifts once you are fully trained on the supports required.


Prior SIL house experience desirable but not essential.


Some practical tasks and supports you will deliver include:

  • Support with personal care 

  • Complex health and support services – bowel and catheter care

  • Assist with ADL's

  • Assist with attending appointments

  • Administration of medication 

  • Complex health and support services 

  • Program support to achieve goals and development outcomes

  • Assist with community access at local hydrotherapy pool

  • Cooking and cleaning



Mandatory requirements to be considered for this opportunity:

  • Minimum of 12 months experience supporting complex care clients e.g. hoisting, PEG feeding, bowel care, medication administration

  • Be reliable and flexible

  • NDIS screening check

  • NDIS worker orientation module

  • First Aid and CPR Certificates

  • 2 work related references

  • Unrestricted work rights in Australia



You will be provided with:

  • Casual employment

  • On the job and online training

  • 24 hour rotating roster across 7 days

  • SCHADS Award rates

  • $41.76 per hour inclusive of casual loading, shift allowances in addition to this rate
